In order to obtain your Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons permit you will be required to pass several written questions to test and prove that you have a certain basic knowledge of the fundamentals to carry concealed this includes a knowledge of the fundamentals of safety , marksmanship, concealed carry laws, and the law of when you may use deadly force and the legal defense of justifiable homicide.

Safety and marksmanship will also be taught.  

This is a very structured class and you may wish to refer to the class outline for the items taught.  

You will be given a manual and handout materials in the class from the department that issues your concealed carry permit.   Our self defense manual specifically covers the laws of concealed carry and Justifiable homicide in Kentucky and may be used as a study guide prior to taking the course but it is not required.  The basic concealed carry class should be easy to pass for any person that is reasonably intelligent and that is able to pay attention in the class without any additional training.  However additional training is always helpful.
