Our CCDW class is taught by an attorney and this website is divided into two sections.  The first section is our Kentucky CCDW class to obtain your concealed carry permit in Kentucky.  After you register for the concealed carry class be sure to download and view our concealed carry class study materials from the forms section and come to class with questions.

In order to obtain your CCDW license in Kentucky you must take a class of instruction from a licensed KY CCDW instructor and file the Kentucky CCDW permit application.  But obtaining a permit is just a start.  You should become competent with guns, holsters, ammunition and understand KY laws including states that offer reciprocity.  Add practicing with organizations like IDPA, and obtain a through knowledge of Self Defense laws and Justifiable Homicide Law. Our website, chart and concealed permits section explain step by step how to apply for your license.  

The self defense section contains educational material on the law of Justifiable Homicide and the use of Deadly Force in Self Defense.  Our Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide materials are not a part of the basic CCDW permit class and are not required to obtain the CCDW license.  Instead it is an additional manual, audio and/or class to further your self defense education.  The self defense section contains the manual, audio and web pages covering the criminal and civil liability when you take on the responsibility of carrying a concealed deadly weapon for self defense using Kentucky's law as an example.  Kentucky statutes, Kentucky cases and Supreme Court cases are shown. The Self Defense manual and audio is under construction and will only be available in the Self Defense Area.   T
