Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide is not required to obtain or maintain a Kentucky Concealed Carry permit.  Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide was designed for persons that have decided that they want more than the explanation of law in the basic class that allows you to obtain the Concealed Carry permit.  Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide teaches the civil and criminal liability and when, where, how and why deadly force can be used by a citizen or police officer in a self defense situations.  Under certain circumstances when an innocent life is threatened it may be required that a citizen or police officer uses deadly force to stop the assault of a criminal in self defense or the defense of an innocent.   Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide only instructs on when the use of deadly force is legal and proper.  A short version of Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide law is on audio CD or mp3 download from the members section. 

Our Kentucky Concealed Carry Class is the class to obtain your CCDW license in Kentucky which is taught by a licensed attorney who has tried kidnapping, assault and murder cases as a prosecutor and a defense attorney us to appeal before the 6th Circuit.  In order to obtain your Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons permit in Kentucky you must take Kentucky Concealed Carry Class and not the Self Defense and Justifiable Homicide Course.  However you may wish this as additional study material.  The Concealed Carry Class includes basic firearms instruction on a range.  The second class only has manual audio and/or class room training.

You may have a permit but if you don't know when, where, how and why you can use a weapon then you may survive the street battle but not the battle in court after you have been arrested or sued.  Self Defense  law is on audio CD or mp3 download together with a manual on the law can be purchased with membership to the members area.
